Position Summary

The primary role of the Technical Sales Specialist is to support and develop relationships with the North American Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the designated segment and its affiliates to ensure the availability and proper application of our e-Mobility products. In addition, this position will be required to create, document and deliver market information to other departments within the mobility CV team along with other teams in the Americas region.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop OEM Key Account relationships by providing point of contact support for the OEM’s sales, purchasing, quality, production line and engineering departments.
  • Setup and enhance the strategical partnerships in the trucks segment to support Voith business plans related to e-Mobility.
  • Strategically approach and seek for the possibilities of JV, M&A projects and product implementation to support Voith with sustainable business development in the USA.
  • Build up and manage the strategical approach/partnerships in the USA with the increasing development of the e-Mobility products in the trucks market.
  • Build up the top management relationships between Voith and Key Account.
  • Ensure Voith’s Latest e-Mobility Products Are Available for Delivery in All Applicable OEM Applications.
  • Coordinate the Contract Sales Process (Technical Specification Review,  Request For Quotations, Quotation Generation, Margin Calculations)
  • Coordinate with the Sr. Manager of Business Development to perform commercial functions associated with new Commercial vehicle contracts, OEM purchase orders and Product Deliveries.
  • Assist with Product Planning Functions and Alignment with Voith Production Centers.
  • Prepare OEM Market Data & Key Metrics Analysis.
  • Ensure Proper Alignment Of Technical Actions With The Application Engineering Team.
  • Support the Sr. Manager of Business Development with information and analysis for sales and technical developments of the  e-Mobility product line.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4 year college or university.
  • 4-6 years related experience and/or training.
  • Experience related to Commercial Vehicle electro mobility markets.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to identify potential projects at an early stage in the development of the project and ensure that Voith products are included in the specifications.
  • Read and interpret customer specifications, scientific/trade journals, and terms & conditions.
  • Technical experience with Commercial Vehicle equipment and good understanding of e-Mobility equipment selection and operating requirements are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain successful customer relations.

 

Physical Demands 

Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
