The incumbent in this job is responsible for shipping and receiving materials and parts in the warehouse. The position also ensures the proper feeding of the production, proper documentation preparation, ERP system (Navision) inputs and reports. The incumbent will also manage and lead a team of Logistics Administrators and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to advance automation of processes and systems in collaboration with other departments.

Summary

The incumbent in this job is responsible for shipping and receiving materials and parts in the warehouse. The position also ensures the proper feeding of the production, proper documentation preparation, ERP system (Navision) inputs and reports. The incumbent will also manage and lead a team of Logistics Administrators and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to advance automation of processes and systems in collaboration with other departments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Warehouse team to perform fast paced, accurate shipping and receiving duties as assigned and act as hands-on support when necessary loading and unloading trucks both inside and outside
  • Delivery & retrieval of parts to and from assembly workshop area
  • Take the lead in managing continuous improvement projects in collaboration with other departments
  • MHE inspection/maintenance checks
  • Request quotes and schedule domestic flatbed, over dimensional and time sensitive shipments
  • Support field service operations by arranging toolbox shipments
  • Create commercial invoices from MRP system for export sales
  • Manage warehouse transfers to offsite warehouse(s)
  • Schedule inbound, international air and ocean shipments
  • Post shipments & scan completed documents
  • Ensure department transactions are properly documented and loaded to ERP system (Navision)

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Minimum SIX (6) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • STRONG organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • STRONG working knowledge of computers and Windows software
  • STRONG knowledge of inventory practices and procedures
  • SUFFICIENT product knowledge in order to resolve inventory issues
  • STRONG pick and pack techniques for shipping of inventory
  • PRIOR Forklift/Highreach operation & certification
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • UPS/Fed-Ex/LTL shipping knowledge
