Quality Analyst I

Summary –

The Quality Analyst is responsible for assuring that the products being delivered to our clients meet our engineering standards, are fit for purpose and free from defects, operational problems, or errors. This is accomplished through providing support for all quality related activities and ensuring effective coordination between internal and external customers/suppliers during the marketing, engineering, manufacturing and installation phase of a project.


Responsibilities –


  • Create and maintain project quality plans (Inspection & Test Plans).
  • Organize, distribute and track quality submittals to ensure all quality requirements are met.
  • Review/approve supplier submittals (Material Test Reports, Dimension Inspection Reports, etc.) for compliance with drawing and standards.
  • Distribute non-conformance reports and follow up on closure.
  • Review of component inspection status and release for shipment.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and other documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Support department operations by performing various office and administrative tasks, including weekly/monthly reports, and presentations
  • Assist with the implementation of projects as needed


Qualifications –


  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized
  • Must be a reliable, self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to meet and interface with suppliers/customers and proactively work to resolve issues and accomplish tasks.
  • Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining the ability to meet deadlines for a variety of assignments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working in an administrative or quality role is a plus
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or engineer-to-order manufacturing is a plus.
  • Specific knowledge of Casting, Forging, Welding, Machining, Visual Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, and Ultrasonic Inspections is a plus.

  • The employee is also required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office environment from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
  • The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
  • The job requires travel.
