For the Voith Holding, Corporate & Market Communications department, we are looking for:

Public Relations and Internal Comm. Manager 
York, PA 

Strengthen the awareness of Voith brand, products and services in the North American region (U.S., Canada and Mexico) for all group divisions including Hydro, Paper, Digital Ventures and Turbo through local and trade public relations programs (from strategy to execution); product communications; corporate communications, social media and relevant customer channels. Also responsible for internal communications and alignment of regional activities with the global MarCom strategy and objectives.


Job responsibilities:

• In cooperation with Corporate and Market Communications team, plan, develop and execute corporate, internal and external regional media relation activities including social media regarding the Group Divisions in North America.

• Help coordinate press conferences, media events and interviews with company executives/spokespeople.

• Execute internal and external communication actions for a broad variety of B2B and local corporate topics including but not limited to Diversity & Inclusion and employer branding.

• Plan, write and distribute press releases, social media posts, internal news and information.

• Help develop and execute regional annual communication plan.

• Work closely with Market Communications team, internal clients and global team on product and market related communications as well as competitive analyses.

• Responsible for measureable and quantified quality coverage, which positions and adds value to all external brand-building efforts and initiatives. Provide recap and reports to internal clients.

• Responsible for ensuring the reputation and brand are protected and enhanced during all media interactions.

• Principal contact to work with key influencers including media, social media, third parties, associations, industry groups. Provide briefing to the executives and stakeholders prior and following media activities

• Responsible for CSR strategies and Corporate Communications campaigns to raise awareness of Voith in local communities where Voith has a presence. Must engage with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. management team, community leaders, etc.) and promote CSR agenda internally and externally.

• Work closely with Market Communications team, internal clients and global team on messaging.

• Ensure corporate design is within guidelines.


Professional Experience and Education:

• At least 6-8 years working experience in public relations, corporate and internal communications within a global company or global digital agency (B2B a plus; agency experience preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations.


Skills required:

• Requires working knowledge of the editorial environment and has the ability to develop and execute the communications strategy and drive media activities results to support national, local, trade and online media.

• Ability to connect strategic topics with types of content that will further earned media coverage, align core messages and deliver optimal coverage results.

• Strong knowledge of social media channels and engagement strategies.

• Ability to interact with a variety of internal and external partners including editors, publishers, news directors and journalists as well as internal executives in the business lines. Support with briefing and guidance to prepare spokespeople for interviews.

• Understanding of paid, earned, shared, owned (PESO) marketing strategy and integrated marketing communication (IMC) programs.

• A strong team player in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing demands and conditions.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and the ability to organize and plan with continual follow-up until completion.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills a must (technical writing a plus).

• Detail oriented, proactive and self-managed.

• Strong work ethic and takes ownership of projects – delivered on time, every time.

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholder audiences.

• Some travel required.

• Computer competency: Excel; PowerPoint; and Creative Suite (In-Design, Photoshop) a plus.
