Summary

The incumbent in this role creates materials and performs informational and instructional presentations about products offered by the company. This professional works independently with minimal guidance, has sound product application experience and is willing to travel across the country.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide trainings to a varied set of audiences on our suite of products
  • Become an expert in our product, value proposition, and best practices to effectively articulate and support all product trainings
  • Adapt and create lessons to match the specific needs of the customers
  • Create new training materials and design lessons to further knowledge and comfort with each individual product
  • Collaborate with team members and product stakeholders to relay relevant product concerns
  • Document each customer’s life cycle through their training journey
  • Understand customers’ technical specification for transit.
  • Understand the integration & implementation of our products into customers’ systems & equipment.
  • Assist with sales proposals when related to training products. Combine existing solutions to fulfill customers’ needs.
  • Support commissioning of Voith products from a trainer perspective guiding customer’s crew.
  • Provide reporting on services when required by a customer.
  • Coordinate training actions with execution of field work. Direct customer contact and link to Voith centers of competence for each product.
  • Prepare billing requests for services executed.
  • National and International travel required between 30% and 70% of the time depending on demand; countries for visits include but are not limited to Canada, Germany, Brazil, Mexico.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a trainer for end customers
  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a trainer for end customers
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task based on business need
  • Excellent time management, communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of transportation field (automotive or heavy duty truck)
  • Ability to use mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment such as micrometers,
    calipers, FLUKE meters, etc
  • Experience with Basic Microsoft software program (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Preference: Strong technical background in automotive transmissions
