Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for design support, implement and maintain Voith processes system (SYCAT) in partnership with the corporate Center of Excellence team, and control the integrated management of quality, safety and environment programs while managing a small team.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the maintenance of the ISO 9001, support to the implementation of ISO 14001 and implementation and control of IATF 16949 standards along with the management of the product quality assurance and promotion of health and safety at the workplace. This position also works in close collaboration with the Supply chain team and quality assurance through the vendors’ network.
These responsibilities extend through three locations in the US: York, PA, Houston, TX and Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities
- Report on the results and analysis of key indicators of the integrated quality and HSE management system.
- Prepare, implement and revise policies, procedures, and work instructions linked to the quality and safety assurance.
- Support vendor selection, determining the type and methods of control exerted on vendors, monitoring, and verifying vendors product and systems.
- Manage the disposition and control of nonconforming product.
- Perform internal and supplier audits.
- Act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system.
- Ensure compliance of our programs with customer requirements
Qualifications
- Experience implementing and maintaining IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
- 5 plus years of related experience. At least 1 year managing a team.
- Background of Inspections and audits
- Broad knowledge of industrial processes (machining, welding, fabrication, foundry, forging, heat treat, assembly, measuring, metallurgy, electronics, gear grinding, ASTM, ISO, EN, & DIN Specifications)
- Ability to read and explain American and European drawings with ISO 1101 GD&T.
- LEAN tools - value stream mapping, five S, mistake proofing
- ASQ-CQE and or CQA certification is a plus
