We looking for a candidate to work on second shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Mon-Fri) or third shift (11:00 PM to 7:00am Sun-Thur)

Shift differential for off-shifts of $1.00/hour. Vacation after 500 hours and full benefit package kicks in within 30 days.

Voith Hydro in the US is a full-line supplier of hydropower equipment and services including project planning and execution, manufacturing, electrical and mechanical engineering, outage management, modernization, and aftermarket business and services.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a Safe work environment
  • Perform setups on machines safely and productively
  • Layout components to verify stock for machinability
  • Machine parts to drawing specifications utilizing CNC machine tools such as Vertical Turning Mills and Horizontal Boring Mills.
  • Edit CNC programs as necessary.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math for machining, ensure that components meet the drawing specifications utilizing a variety of inspection tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers).

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Qualified applicants under a Machinist II position will possess PA State Approved Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker Papers
  • Must be able to pass a working physical
  • Knowledge of G+M codes a plus

 

Physical Demands

**Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees are required to talk and hear in an industrial setting (noise level is can be high at times) and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
