Job Description Summary

Supports the North American Purchasing organization of Voith US Inc. team related strategic sourcing, cost reduction, supply base analysis and process efficiency improvement projects. Works with Category Management and Purchasing teams on a diverse, but focused set of projects by applying your analytical, problem solving, communication and teamwork skills. This is a great opportunity for the candidate who is seeking a career in Supply Chain Management to gain insights to the strategic and operations aspects of sourcing and purchasing.


Job Description

  • Support the preparation of cost reduction projects (data collection / normalization / analysis, RFQ / eRFQ preparation, and bid analysis.
  • Support purchasing process improvement projects to improve operational efficiency (data collection, analysis, problem solving).
  • Prepare and maintain related charts, adhoc analysis reports, etc. in support of colleagues.  



  • Currently enrolled in a four year degree program and in good standing at an accredited college or university and pursuing a supply chain / business or engineering degree.
  • Junior or Senior level required.
  • Organized and has skills to multi-task several projects with several team members.
  • Self-starter, high initiative, persistent and curious.
  • Possesses strong initiative to understand a problem and work independently to solve it.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and strong with excel.
  • Open to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work / collaborate remotely. Attend limited, on-site project meetings (perhaps 1x month).


Desired Additional Qualifications

Previous work experience in a supply chain or operations environment


Qualifications & Education

Candidate should in pursuit of a BA, BS or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Finance
