Responsibilities: 

  • Support development of the Model Company by helping to collect input data and setting up related templates.
  • Collect budgetary data from functional managers and organize for planning and hourly rate development.
  • Conduct fixed asset inventory for the VHY facility and support operations with asset disposal documentation as needed.
  • Monitor and control project cost structure for VHEC projects, initiate related invoicing, manage change processes for any project cost deviation, and update project at-completion sales and cost forecast.
  • Plan and update cost and sales occurrence for individual projects (VHEC and others) through project lifecycle, and monitor deviations closely. Raise early flags for any potential risks as well as opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support management decision making. 
  • Support with collecting documentation for fiscal year-end audit. 
  • Provide periodical financial reports.
  • Support Controlling team in organizing and collecting critical documentation. 
  • Support other Functional Accounting (cost centers) or Project Controlling topics as needed.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be enrolled in an Accounting/Finance degree program, with a minimum of two years completed.
  • Previous experience in project-business would be a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (accounting standard for the group consolidation).
  • Experience with Accounting/Financial reporting would be a plus.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system would be a plus.
  • Team working ability for an effective interaction within the Finance & Controlling Team

  • This position may require travel.

 

Summary:

The Finance Intern will be supporting the Finance and Controlling department for the duration of the assignment.
