Summary

The incumbent in this position develops, forecast, directs, and coordinates the sales activities of the Voith Turbo mining and metals business segment in the US and Mexico markets. The incumbent establishes objectives necessary for the success of the organization and also understands business and financial concepts. The incumbent works with a small team of direct reports and collaborate with several functions in the company.

               

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the business development and sales of new equipment and parts promoting profitable growth of the business lines.
  • Builds and maintains relationships, partnerships and alliances while generating creative and strategic solutions that can be successfully implemented
  • Understand customers’ requirements (OEM’s, End Users and Consultants) in the mining and metals industry.
  • Promotes and supports the delivery of products and parts that exceed customers’ expectations
  • Collaborate with peers providing information regarding the local markets to assist in the preparation of the global business strategies, business planning and new product development.
  • Sets sales goals for the territory and is responsible for meeting these goals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the internal engineering support teams.
  • Interfaces with product group managers as necessary to achieve the strategic goals.
  • Visits customers and negotiates contracts as required in conjunction with factory support and in accordance to Voith’s risk management directives.
  • Responsible for resolving Voith/customer conflicts, and overall customer satisfaction

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales and service related experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to comprehend overall intentions and requirements of technical specifications
  • Capable to lead project management and contractual negotiation activities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
