Business Development Manager, O&M  
Hybrid out of York, PA



The candidate will be an experienced expert in the maintenance, service and operation of hydro power plants and will be responsible for the Operations  & Maintenance (O&M) business development in North America. The focus of this position is to develop and secure long-term maintenance contracts and to integrate and secure complete O&M packages as part of our projects or as a stand-alone offering for hydro plants across North America.

To achieve our goals, the candidate will establish strong relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders. Keys to success will be to ensure cost-effective, first-class service, delivering clear added value to our customers based on an understanding of our customers’ needs.



  • Responsible for business development of the O&M offering for North America
  • Act as the regional O&M expert, responsible to develop standard operating procedures for O&M and maintain an active lesson learned database for O&M topics
  • Provide support during OTO Sales and OTC Execution based on expert knowledge (e.g., providing sales presentations, cost calculations, maintenance plan optimizations and development of contract documents etc.)
  • Quality and optimization of OTO and OTC processes for long-term maintenance offerings
  • Utilize plant data and on-site analysis to ensure high quality service



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in power plant operation and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of hydro power and energy markets as well as technology trends
  • Financial acumen and knowledge of energy economics is a plus
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual with skills to develop a business segment

  • The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
  • The job may requires travel; both domestic and international. (This position requires both domestic and international travel therefore the incumbent must be able to meet COVID-19 travel guidelines as defined by each country of travel.)
