Summary:
The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment to support safe, efficient operations. Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, lockout/tagout compliance, and coordinating with vendors while meeting safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing preventive, emergency, and routine maintenance of all equipment, buildings, and systems.

Responsible for identifying, correcting, or recommending corrections to unsafe equipment and facility situations.

Work with and direct contractors hired for maintenance activities as necessary.

Complete work based on preventive maintenance schedule and requests from Department Supervisors as needed to keep the facility operating efficiently.

Be familiar with and obey all OSHA and Voith safety regulations.

Maintain good housekeeping practices in maintenance area and work areas.

Document maintenance inspection results and corrections completed for record keeping purposes

Communicate project and maintenance status updates to affected departments and team members.

Follow and comply with all company procedures and/or policies set forth by Voith.

Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and rules.
Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent.
-
2 year degree in a maintenance field or equivalent work experience.

Valid driver’s license.
-
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.

Blue print and electrical diagram reading preferred.

Proficiency in using a PC for email, work order system and documentation.

Ability to use various hand tools and support equipment.
