Senior Field Service Expert (York, PA)

Voith U.S. Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Service Expert to provide a safe work environment in the field, to heighten safety awareness amongst all Field Service Technicians. Plan, organize, and supervise capital equipment installations as well as field service projects in the field at customer’s mill site. Install and maintain paper machine and fiber system equipment with new technologies including Shoe Press, Headbox, Speed Sizer, Cleaning Devices, Turn-up System, Winder, Disc Filter, Pulper, Refiner, Screens. Lead on-site projects of repair services, maintenance or troubleshooting for paper machine and process, according to Voith and/or customer specifications or generally accepted industrial standards. Oversee customers, engineering companies and contractors as well as various Voith departments involved in the projects. Continually look for improvements in materials, methods, and tooling required to complete field service activities. Conduct follow-up visits to complete any punch list items and complete the project for final acceptance by the customers. Train other Mill Services personnel as needed and comply with all company policies and procedures. Conduct or participate in meetings with managers, co-workers, and/or customers. Telecommuting permitted. Approximately 60% domestic travel and 10% international travel required. Work to be performed from company locations, headquartered in York, PA and at various unanticipated client locations primarily in Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi.

Job Requirements:

Requires a High School diploma and 8 years of construction experience in the paper industry. Must have experience with: Paper machine assembly and commissioning support; Headbox maintenance; Fiber System equipment assembly and maintenance; Disc Filter assembly; Mechanical components and mechanical systems; Technical drawing and symbology (E.g. Surface finish, weld, or tolerances); P&I interpretation; Remote support by video tools; and Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams. Must live within the Tennessee-Georgia-South Carolina-Mississippi region. Approximately 60% domestic travel and 10% international travel required.
