Summary –  The Head of the Regional Supply Chain Office  (RSCO) supervises all Supply Chain operations within the RSCO, encompassing strategic procurement, operational purchasing, project procurement, supplier development and logistics. This role involves leading all regional functions, including Category Managers, Supplier Development Engineers, Sourcing Managers, Buyers, and logistics personnel. They ensure the accurate, budget-conscious, and timely completion of all orders. Moreover, the Head of the RSCO is accountable for providing the required capacity and capabilities for all regional functions. They also manage the RSCO costs proficiently within the established framework.

 

Responsibilities –

 

  • Manage daily RSCO operations through a streamlined shopfloor management cascade, enabling early identification and resolution of supply chain disruptions while ensuring reliable delivery performance.
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately, within specification and quality standards, and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Foster strong collaboration across all RSCO purchasing functions and the broader global procurement organization to drive efficiency and alignment.
  • Prioritize internal customer satisfaction by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • Align RSCO goals with global supply chain management (SCM) strategy and regional purchasing strategies.
  • Drive the development, communication, and tracking of measures to ensure consistent implementation of Regional Category Strategies across the RSCO team.
  • Lead cross-functional change management initiatives by promoting transparent communication, engaging team members, and effectively managing organizational change.
  • Support employee growth through training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to ensure strong role performance and capability development.
  • Align short-term recruitment planning with OTC workload forecasts and long-term recruitment with category strategies and OTO workload models.
  • Maintain strong cost awareness within the indirect procurement function by continuously improving processes and streamlining operations to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs and industry benchmarks while adjusting capacity planning based on workload forecasts to maximize productivity.
  • Continuously improve procurement procedures by reducing manual work through automation (e.g., Web EDI, Auto PO) and implementing automated reporting and shopfloor management tools.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments—including Engineering, Scheduling, and Project Management—to improve overall supply chain performance and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of leadership experience managing teams of significant size and complexity.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, operational sourcing, or category management in a global environment, ideally within a related industry.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of the full supply chain lifecycle and experience optimizing supply chain operations.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM preferred
  • Proficiency with procurement and sourcing platforms such as SAP, PurOne, and other digital procurement tools.

 

 

Physical Demands –

Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are often required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.   Employees are required to talk and hear in an industrial setting (noise level can be high at times) and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
