Summary –  The Regional Head of Sales is responsible for leading all regional sale activities and driving the go-to-market strategy to achieve sustainable and profitable growth. The role focuses on expanding Voith’s customer portfolio, developing new market opportunities, and building a high-performing, customer-centric sales organization.

 

Responsibilities –

  • Develop and implement the regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Define and steer the regional go-to-market approach,  in coordination with Service Hubs and Key Account Management.
  • Establish and leverage market intelligence to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Intensive customer engagement, proposal management and contract negotiation
  • Identify and develop new project and service opportunities.
  • Drive expansion of the regional portfolio and market footprint.
  • Ensure sustainable and profitable growth across all business segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business development.
  • Collaborate closely with global sales, business case owners, and regional stakeholders.
  • Manage the regional sales pipeline, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Ensure achievement of sales targets and financial objectives.
  • Drive transparency and accountability in sales performance.
  • Ensure development of competitive and profitable proposals in collaboration with Tendering, Engineering, and Project Management.
  • Support alignment between customer needs and technical/operational capabilities.
  • Lead and develop the regional sales organization, in coordination with Service Managers and Key Account Managers.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and sales processes.
  • Full responsibility for sales performance and profitable growth

 

Qualifications – 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or service sales, including several years in a senior leadership role within an OEM or project‑driven, international environment
  • Experience in the energy or hydropower industry
  • Proven track record in driving sustainable and profitable growth, with full responsibility for regional sales performance, pipelines, and financial targets
  • Strong strategic capabilities combined with hands‑on experience in go‑to‑market development, service portfolio expansion, and market intelligence utilization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in building, developing, and leading high‑performing, customer‑centric sales organizations within a matrix structure
  • Business‑fluent with excellent communication, negotiation, contract closing and stakeholder management skills; additional languages and international exposure are a plus
