Summary – This position is responsible for identifying, controlling, and eliminating HSE issues that may pose a threat to workers, the environment, or communities. Essential duties and responsibilities include design and implementation of HSE programs that ensures the company success in achieving a “world-class” safety culture at all levels within the organization with focus on construction sites within US.

Responsibilities –

  • Maintains HSE Management System and documentation for HSE at VHNA.
  • Conducts 8x8x8 New Hire HSE Training for all Manufacturing employees.
  • Participates in daily, weekly and monthly safety audits at VHY campus.
  • Conduct incident investigations and near miss events with Supervision, perform root cause analysis, issue requests for corrective actions (internal & external) and track/follow-up on open items.
  • Develops HSE Communications, HSE Flash Alerts, Incident Investigations Lessons Learned, and Corrective Actions
  • Develops HSE plans and regulatory submittal to include, JSA’s, Emergency Response, SOP’s, Fall Protection Plans, Lead/Asbestos, and others directly related to HSE for the successful prevention/ reduction in incidents.
  • Conducts Hazard Risk Assessments and Chemical Risk Assessments.
  • Update and Maintain Contractor Safety Systems, i.e., ISNetworld, Veriforce, Cognibox, etc.

Qualifications –

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Currently enrolled in an HSE program at a University/College/Trade
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and implementation skills
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented, well organized, high degree of accuracy.
  • Must possess strong customer service, follow up, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
