SALARY & BENEFITS: $26.67/hour, with incremental increases to bring you to $29.63.  Shift differentials for off-shifts of $2.50/hour.  Vacation after 90 days.  Full benefits package the 1st day of the month after hire date.   Holiday pay immediately!

Summary

We are seeking a Grinder Trainee to support our North American Hydro division in York, PA. In the position you will work on unique one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in the world. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude to learn and have past grinding experience. Position is part of a trainee program designed prepare the employee for a Grinder Specialist position.

 

Responsibilities

The job entails working in a fast paced production environment operating various grinding equipment producing a high quality surface according to a customer’s specifications on a wide variety of components. In addition the candidate would perform 15 ton or less basic overhead crane lifts to facilitate their job. 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic discipline aptitude/attitude
  • Previous grinding experience preferred but not required
