Sourcing Manager (m/f/d) Field Service

In this challenging position, you will be responsible for strategic and operational procurement and commissioning of on-site service providers in the field of power plant assembly. You will ensure that all assembly services are performed in accordance with delivery deadlines, the highest quality standards, budget requirements, and technical specifications. You will coordinate cooperation with internal interfaces such as project management, field service, engineering, legal, and tax departments.
Your tasks
- Leading the request, offer comparison, and selection of suitable assembly service providers together with Field Service
- Leading price and contract negotiations as well as claim and addendum management and performance management
- Controlling and monitoring order processing (order confirmations, changes, deadline tracking, deadline assurance)
- Strategic management and further development of the "Field Service" product group in EMEA, expansion of service provider relationships, and active supplier management
- Ensuring compliance with relevant tax requirements (CIS, WHT, RCT, reverse charge) in close cooperation with the tax department
- Regular review and approval of invoices as part of contract management • Continuous optimization of procurement processes, identification of potential savings, and risk minimization
- Support in the development of purchasing strategies for large-scale projects in an international environment
- Intensive exchange with suppliers for capacity control
- Ensuring HSE and quality requirements for suppliers
Your profile
- Successfully completed technical or commercial degree or comparable qualification
- At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in plant engineering/large-scale project business, mandatory in the area of purchasing assembly services/field service
- In-depth experience in the strategic management of assembly service providers
- In-depth technical understanding of complex assembly processes and plant construction projects
- Proven experience in project and supplier management, field service, claim management
- Very good user knowledge of MS Office and SAP as well as other purchasing tools
- Business fluent German and English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage
- Strong communication skills, team orientation, analytical thinking, negotiating skills, and assertiveness
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of initiative and responsibility
- Willingness to travel internationally, especially to construction sites (approx. 10%)
