Your tasks

  • Developing and implementing long-term procurement strategies and continuously optimizing them. 
  • Conducting price and contract negotiations at the EMEA level.
  • Identifying and realizing potential savings from both technical and commercial perspectives, applying appropriate value analysis and BCC.
  • Monitoring and analyzing procurement markets and industry trends, and deriving appropriate measures.
  • Selecting, qualifying, and developing suppliers, as well as establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Forecast planning and volume management to ensure supply capability.
  • Conclusion of framework agreements, performance agreements, etc.
  • Risk management with regard to supply security, quality, price escalation and robust OTO calculations.
  • Support and consultation for make-or-buy decisions.
  • Leadership, motivation, and development of the procurement team.
  • Defining and creating procurement reports and utilizing tools to monitor and manage KPIs.
  • Implementing and optimizing digital procurement processes and tools, with a focus on optimized operational procurement.
  • Ensuring adherence to compliance, quality, and sustainability requirements.

 

Your profile

  • Completed commercial or technical studies or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a project-related environment.
  • Sound experience in operational purchasing and a comprehensive understanding of operational processes.
  • Proven experience in the successful implementation of change projects, ideally in a purchasing environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing complex procurement projects.
  • Very good negotiating skills and strong analytical thinking.
  • Sound knowledge of contract law and modern purchasing methods.
  • Confident handling of common ERP systems and MS Office, as well as AI usage / dashboarding.
  • Business fluent English, German language skills are desirable.
  • Team-oriented, assertive personality with entrepreneurial thinking and a high willingness to change.

 

This position can be filled at our Voith location in Croatia or Bosnia. The remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based.
