Candidate requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering combined with competency in hydro plant machinery with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Demonstrated skills mechanical or electrical engineering, organizational talents and ability to provide technical service to customers
  • Knowledge in Non Destructive Testing/Quality assurance a plus
  • Expertise in manufacturing, field service and commissioning
  • Knowledge about on-site machining a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
  • Self-Starter with problem solving skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • English fluent, French, Portuguese or German a plus
  • Open-minded, communicative personality, enjoys working in international teams with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel in African countries with hydro power or hydro-power  potential
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English is mandatory, Portuguese , French or German language skills are welcome

  • Customer/Supplier/Vendor Relations
  • Identify New Product Opportunities
  • Organize transfer meetings with sales, project management and customers
  • Project Management as required
  • On-site assessments, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs and/or upgrades to Customer’s equipment 
  • Sales Opportunity Management as required
  • Contribute to company committees or initiatives as needed
  • Travel will be required as part of this position
  • Other duties may be assigned
