Field Service Technician 

Witfield 

Primary Duties 

  • Perform alignment of various industry specification with and without Laser 
  • Commisioniong of Voith Indutry Products 
  • Fluid coupling installation and maintenance (including strip, repair, assemble oil fill and test)
  • On-site maintenance and inspection of holdbacks, fluid drives, fluid couplings and other Voith products
  • Perform fault finding and drive systems analysis, with recommendations for repairs or upgrades
  • Conduct surveys, health checks and basic condition monitoring
  • Completion of paperwork, service reports, etc. and having these signed off
  • Customer liaison and effectively promoting After Market Business, Training and Repairs
  • Perform work according to best practices and Health and Safety standards
  • Responsible for upkeep of company vehicle and equipment
  • Maintaining and updating various site Safety Files

Minimum Requirements

  • Fitter N3
  • 5 years field service experience in the mining and/or power transmission industry
  • Laser Alignment
  • Basic MS Office

Ideal Requirements 

  • Qualified Millwright
  • 10 Years relevant experience
  • Condition monitoring – vibration analysis, tribology & alignment
  • Basic MS Office

Other Requirements

  • Technical and Product Knowledge 
  • Valid driver’s license – min code 08/EB
  • Customer orientation
  • Physically fit for the role requirement
