Summary – The Plant Controller will oversee two plants in the sales region South and work very closely with the Sales and Operations team at those locations. A strong, hands-on leader with an independent work style will serve well in this role and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Duties for the Plant Controller will include the financial reporting of the company’s financials and their accuracy, analyzing financial data, driving value through the decision making process with local and regional management, managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring expenditure, coordinating auditing processes. This position could be a well suited opportunity for a candidate with a Senior Financial Analyst background who is ready to make the next step in their career.


Responsibilities –

  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
  • Coordinates and prepares budgets & prepares capital expenditure request with relevant payback period assumptions
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions & prepares for audits of company's accounts (internal & external)
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
  • Compiles composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or governmental agencies & monitors Business Unit compliance with internal control guidelines
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Serves as Compliance Officer for both locations
  • Demonstrates proficiency in accounting functions and data analysis
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards and/or SAP is a plus
  • Experience with budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting

Qualifications –

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Finance related capacity
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office
  • Experience on a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Experience working in multi-cultural environment



Physical Demands -

  • The job requires occasional travel to Austell, Georgia.
