Compounder - Nights
West Monroe, LA
Training for this position will be 7A - 3P and then once trained will transfer to nights, 7P - 3A.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Display a good attitude conducive to a shop environment.
- Must work well with others as a team.
- Perform required job functions in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform job functions in a manner that promotes Quality per Voith Paper Standards.
- Must be dependable in regards to attendance.
- Must be willing to work over time when required.
- Must be willing to learn and perform other tasks of operation as required.
- Shift work may be required.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for compounding and mixing of various components used in the manufacture of natural and synthetic rubbers.
- Must be familiar with Standard weights and measures.
- Must be knowledgeable in all phases of compounding and mixing operations.
- Responsible for house keeping in the mill room and compounding area.
- Good physical health is required.
- Must have good dexterity.
- Must be capable of lifting and handling up to 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of standing for a minimum of 8 hours.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma preferred but not required if the experience level, determined by Voith management, off-sets this requirement.
Experience:
Applicants will be considered in the following order.
- 2 years previous rubber compounding experience in Paper Mill roll covering operation.
- 2 years previous rubber compounding experience in other than paper mill roll covering operation.
- Less than 2 years experience in one of the above.
- Trainee – Qualify per General Requirements with some chemistry background.
