Continuous Improvement Specialist 
Southeast Region

 

Position locate in the Southeast Region, working remotely

Summary

 

The Customer Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for supporting continuous improvement contracts with key corporate account customers.   This position also drives effectiveness and strategic business plan execution to meet Voith’s financial goals and helping the customer improve and meeting their financial goals within our area of influence. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  •  
  • Drive the execution of the Value Added (VA) sales strategy at target corporate account mills and headquarters.
  • Be the Voith Fabric & Roll Systems (FRS) expert for Continuous Improvement (CI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and VA while maintaining key relationships with corporate customer CI stakeholders. 
  • Executes existing or new CI contracts to align with customers on business targets, tracking methods, and terms and conditions of the agreement.
  • Support optimization of analysis methods, databases, systems used within Voith FRS to maximize CI results.
  • Coordinate with Sales/Service teams to identify customer goals in key mills to grow market share through strategic value add products and services.
  • Work closely with sales and product management to measure results of product evaluations within customer sites and provide a written technical analysis.
  • Be proficient in data collection and statistical analysis using mill systems for collection; Minitab, SIMCA, and/or MS Excel for analysis.
  • Support/Lead problem solving workshops and audits for FRS NA sales as requested by customers including IP Pro Paper audits.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience account management, project management or leadership experience
  • Bachelor degree in Paper Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Has strong customer service skills
  • Experience in process engineering preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, organizational development skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team environment
  • Travel: Frequent

 

Physical Demands

Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include regular sitting and working with computers, talk and hear, standing, and walking.
