Apprentice

 

Machine Operator Trainee (extrusion) must demonstrate the ability to understand the technical aptitudes necessary to start and operate an extrusion line. The Trainee should exhibit work traits indicating that they are an able and willing worker, as well as, have a good attitude and morale toward their job and fellow employees.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrate capability to follow specific instructions and learn elements of the operation
  • Exhibit ability and willingness to follow supervision on job assignments
  • Establish an acceptable attendance record 
  • Demonstrate the potential to become a qualified extruder operator after 60 days on the job
  • Should exhibit mathematical skills necessary to perform certain calculations and formulas as used in the extrusion area
  • Must possess mechanical skills consistent with those required to operate and maintain an extrusion line
  • Should exhibit manual dexterity skills to a level which allow efficient string-up and doffing of an extrusion line
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 25 pounds over head, lifting 60 pounds 5 feet high, and transporting (via pallet jack) 2500 pounds

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
