Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the continuous production of products that meet established standards. This role involves both hands-on duties and managing a team to uphold our quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead Quality Assurance department in accordance with Voith’s policies and department responsibilities including training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, and promoting Safety Culture.
- Develop and Maintain Quality Management System: Ensure the system meets ISO standards and goals to continually increase customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Department Heads: Work with various departments, management review, and internal audit teams.
- Statistical Data Analysis: Develop and analyze statistical data to identify areas for improvement.
- Process Capability Studies: Perform studies to assess and improve process capabilities.
- Product Specifications: Assist in commercializing product specifications and updating control limits as needed.
- Quality Control: Formulate and maintain quality control objectives, coordinating with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Training and Activities: Plan, promote, and organize training to improve product quality, safety, and improvement activities.
- Customer Complaints and Corrective Actions: Investigate customer complaints, raw material issues, and internal corrective actions.
- Safety Procedures: Ensure all quality assurance employees follow safety procedures.
Additional Responsibilities (One or more of the following depending on skill set of the candidates, in addition to overseeing the Quality Assurance dept):
- Health, Safety, and Environmental ISO Standards: Maintain standards and ensure site safety.
- HSE Manager: Promoting a Safety Culture at the site and fulfilling Voith HSE requirements.
- OPEX: Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to Operational Excellence including documenting projects into the excellence database
- Digitization Projects: Lead digitization improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or 6 years of equivalent quality control experience
