Leads quality, safety and continuous improvement activities, monitors, measures, and identifies improvement opportunities, and trains team members to maximize employee safety, quality, and production efficiency.  Serves as an advisor to the site management team on quality, safety and continuous improvements, coaches, and participates in activities promoting the success of Key Performance Indicators for the site and organization.



  • Leads, coaches and facilitates the application of a common site approach for Quality, Safety and Operations Excellence.
  • Works with the local site management to improve the production process by thinking strategically-works to apply insight to challenge & adapt current ways of doing things.
  • Works closely with the Health, Safety and Environmental Expert to cascade and locally implement HSE guidelines, policies and programs
  • Maintains strong relationships with all co-workers to ensure quality, safety and continuous improvement decisions are made and implemented.  Relationships include employees, managers, and business leaders.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of Quality, Safety and Operations Excellence, including but not limited to:
    • Maintaining Quality, Safety action items as per the Annual Safety Program and OPEX System procedures, such as work instructions, standard operating procedures, etc. 
    • Leading Quality and Safety meetings
    • Training, coaching and facilitating Quality, safety and OPEX projects and activities as needed
    • Updating Projects, Corporate KPI’s, and other databases as required
    • Maintain Shop Floor Management boards
  • Perform or support other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor degree in Engineering; or extensive experience in Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Leadership and excellent interpersonal skills to operate in a team environment
  • Creative, analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in both French and English
  • Knowledge of statistical tools



  • This job requires minimal travel requirement (mainly in USA, but may require travel outside North America).
