PURPOSE

  • To ensure our fabrics adhere to Voith’s quality standards to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • To improve and maintain facilities and equipment with the goals of improved productivity, reliability, and on-demand utilization.
  • To ensure all electrical equipment operates in a safe manner and in compliance with all relevant codes and practices.
  • To perform Calibrations on equipment / systems so as to ensure accuracy of production and testing equipment to appropriate standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Maintenance Electrical Lead in maintaining all electrical and electronic controls throughout the plant, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Programmable controllers including implementing changes to programs
    • Looms
    • Beaming Machine and Creel
    • Heatset Machines and Tenters
    • Finishing Machines
    • Seaming Machines and Fringing Equipment
    • Facility Lighting
    • Compressed Air Equipment
    • Electrical distribution centers in the plant
    • Telephone and computer network wiring
    • Lift trucks, Cranes, and Hoists
    • HVAC Units
  • Assists in the maintenance of Servo motors and drives.
  • Assists in the maintenance of computer integrated systems on production equipment.
  • Performs in-house calibrations and provides proper documentation of completed calibrations.
  • Maintains documentation on changes made to ladder logic and improvements to equipment.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Production / Maintenance personnel as required.
  • Available for on-call duty, estimated at one week of each month, but no more than one week every two weeks.
  • All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.


TRAINING

  •  Training in company orientation outlined in the company introduction.
  • Training in the company general safety policies and specific job related polices.
  • Training in applicable ISO-9001:2015 standards and structure.
  • Training in the policies outlined in Quality Policy Manual.
  • Training in the procedures outlined in the Quality Procedure Manual.
  • Orientation in policies contained in the Employee Policy Handbook.
  • Training in fabric design and construction of forming fabrics.
  • Training to applicable Work Instructions.

 

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2-year degree in Electrical/Electronics required.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in Manufacturing/Production Electrical field preferred. 
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years work experience in Manufacturing/Production Electrical field required in lieu of the 2-year degree.
  • Courses in PLC Logic with various systems preferred.
  • Formal training in HVAC repair or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with Metric and US Standard systems (both fraction and decimal) required.
