For the Voith Hydro, department Field Operation, we are looking for you as a GERD Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Project Management

Responsible for overall site project management of site administration, installations, technical supervision, testing and commissioning. Be responsible for all site activities according to planned schedule/budget. Escalate critical issue to the Project Manager/Head of Field operation or higher if required. Be fully aware of the contract requirements and milestones. Ensure the owner’s and Voith HSE requirements are met. Lead the completion of Punch list as long as the site is running.

  • Communication and Cooperation with Relevant Parties

Ensure close and open contact with owner, and owner’s subcontractors, local authorities, project manager, the project key performers, and VH subcontractors.

  • Site Administration Management

Overall manage the site logistics, HSE, security, material, scheduling, documentations and other site administration activities at site. Manage the performance of people working at site.

  • Site Commercial and Claim Management

Support the Site Commercial Manager to handle the commercial tasks including claim.

  • Site Cost Control

Responsible for the site cost forecast and control personnel and operational costs. Implement the site purchasing if needed.

  • Site Installation Management

Control and coordinate erection company fulfill installation and commissioning task, make sure that installation and commissioning quality and schedule meet contract requirement.

  • Site Technical Supervision

Coordinate with chief supervisor and other site supervisor to resolve critical technical issues.

  • Site Testing and Commissioning Management

Support Commissioning Leader Engineer, and coordination with Customer, Customer’s Engineer and Erection Company to create testing and commissioning schedule, to insure testing and commissioning quality and time met contract requirement. Coordination with site team to resolve critical issue which is happened during testing and commissioning.

  • Document management

Coordination with site team to create Daily report and Monthly report. Coordination with site team update maintenance the drawing, erection manual, commissioning manual, be sure site using latest version of document.

 

Requirements:

  • 15+ year experience in Hydro power turbine & Generator and its auxiliary equipment installation and commissioning relevant experience, hydro power project management experience preferred.
  • Leadership role within hydro or other power generation plant design, operation and/or maintenance. Or experience in site management in construction industry.
  • Leadership and communication skills in international projects.
  • Familiar with FIDIC conditions and practices
  • Be familiar with time scheduling and the tool
  • Experienced with VH Plant Safety Requirements and Safety Policy
  • Gain basic commercial acknowledge, understand commercial partial of contract, have sensitive potential commercial risk.
