About the Role

Join Voith Hydro, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, and take charge of shaping supplier quality excellence across our worldwide supply chain. As Supply Chain Quality Engineer, you will work with regional teams, drive supplier development, and ensure that quality standards are embedded in every process—from sourcing strategies to final inspections.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support global and regional quality teams, aligning strategies with Voith Hydro’s renewable energy objectives.

Qualify and release suppliers via audits; monitor certifications and ensure compliance with Voith Hydro requirements.

Drive preventive quality measures and follow up on supplier development activities (e.g., PFMEAs).

Monitoring supplier performance through KPIs, initiate corrective actions, and block/release suppliers based on defined criteria.

Plan and coordinate inspections and FATs at supplier facilities; report results to project quality teams where required.

Support cost optimization initiatives (OPEX, Lean) and integrate quality requirements into sourcing strategies and schedules. Con tinus Improvement

Participate in key supplier meetings (e.g., KoM) providing quality input; conduct process audits and data-driven verifications.

Capture lessons learned and implement improvements in the management system.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s  degree or above in Engineering, fabrication, casting or forging, machining, Metallic Material etc.

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management or manufacturing field, deep understanding of Fabrication/ Forging/Casting/Machining manufacturing processes.

Strong knowledge of ISO standards, supplier audits, and lean methodologies.

Excellent communication and intercultural skills; workable English both in speaking and writing

Willingness to travel.
