Supplier Relationship Engineer
The purpose of a Supplier Relationship Engineer is to enhance supplier performance and productivity by assessing their operations, implementing improvements, ensuring they meet quality requirements, and resolving any technical issues, ultimately optimizing the supply chain and contributing to the overall success of the Project.
Key Responsibilities,
Close coordination with quality function and suppliers to qualify and develop suppliers, ensure first piece / prototype qualification
Responsible for field expediting ( on-site ). They will be aligned with operational procurement and act as a escalation function for performance issues
Drive supplier performance management together with supplier quality team
Executing performance management program in collaboration with category management
Process specific requirements
Supplier capability improvements by identifying the gaps and closely working with suppliers to resolve
Improvement of performance KPI ( OTD and Quality Inspection )
Enhancement of supplier matrix in align with procurement strategy
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, manufacturing, casting or forging, machining, metallic material etc.
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or related fields is required. Minimum 1-3 years of industry specific experience in supplier management.
Deep understanding of Forging/Casting/Machining manufacturing processes. Ability to analyse capabilities of a supplier and check suitability. Ability to optimize manufacturing processes in collaboration with supplier to mitigate risk of quality issues and delays. Ability to manage potential risks in all stages of the manufacturing process to prevent loss and ensure smooth production.
Ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, characterized by transparent communication, timely fulfilment of contracts, continuous performance evaluation, and proactive risk mitigation
Proficiency with MS Office, digital and Analytical skills is a plus
Workable English skills both in speaking and writing
