Commissioning Automation Engineer/Technologist
Automation Engineer
Your Tasks:
- Execution of start-ups and commissioning of automation and control systems for Hydroelectric Power Plants in various locations in Brazil and Latin America.
- Challenging engineering project execution for national and international customers including software engineering and programming, system integration and commissioning of our automation product portfolio.
- Set up of industrial communication network systems encompassing different protocols (IEC 60870-5, IEC 61850, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA/DA, Ethernet/IP), considering cyber security requirements and standards.
- Perform fault finding and debugging, optimize functionalities, and generate operational reports during Factory Acceptance Tests and Commissioning activities.
- Delivery of developed systems and equipment for the customer, as well as providing Operation and Maintenance training.
- Responsibility for completing tasks according to deadlines and quality requirements.
Your Profile:
- Demonstrate a strong interest and passion for Industrial Automation, PLC programming, and field activities, with direct involvement in start-ups and commissioning of hydroelectric power plants.
- Hold a degree in electrical, automation, or control engineering, or in automation technology.
- Availability to travel for up to 80% of the year for commissioning activities.
- Present a solid 5-year track record in programming and commissioning of control systems developed for hydroelectric power plants applications.
- Possess MS-Office advanced skills, including desirable VBA knowledge.
- Display an immediate willingness to embark on short- and long-term travels, including visiting customer sites and power plants, as well as conducting technical presentations and providing customer training.
- Showcase result-driven mindset, as well as analytical thinking and collaborative teamwork approach.
- Advanced knowledge of hardware and software for Siemens SICAM A8000, Siemens SIMATIC, Altus Xtorm families, and Elipse E3/Power and SAGE supervisory systems.
- Knowledge in Databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle), Virtualization (VMWare/Nutanix/Red Hat), and Linux (CentOS/Red Hat distributions) is desirable.
- Languages: English and Spanish knowledge is desirable.
