We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented executive to lead and transform the Hydraulic business unit (H+L) within Voith Turbo Industry. This role carries full P&L responsibility and mandates the successful turnaround of the global H+L business to a sustainable profitability level (>10% EBIT), while fostering innovation, synergy, and a high-performance culture across all related sites and functions.
Your tasks
- Business Leadership & Strategy:
- Drive the turnaround of the H+L business, ensuring profitability exceeds 10% EBIT.
- Define, implement, and continuously update a mid- to long-term global strategy for the H+L business unit.
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities, particularly expanding business outside Europe with a strong focus on the APAC region.
- Lead initiatives to streamline the product portfolio, eliminate redundancies, and optimize organizational structure and headcount.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure synergies between H+L sites and central Voith functions are fully leveraged to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Promote and lead product and process innovation to secure Voith’s technological and market leadership.
- Oversee site-level operations at VTHL (Rutesheim, Germany) and provide functional leadership for VTIV-MI (Milan, Italy), VTHB (Neuheim, Switzerland), and direct leadership of VTFI (Ahmedabad, India).
- Financial & Organizational Management:
- Hold full P&L responsibility for the H+L business within Voith Turbo Industry.
- Establish and monitor clear financial and operational KPIs to track business performance.
- Lead cost management and continuous improvement initiatives across all regions.
- People & Culture:
- Fostering a value-based, performance-orientated culture through outstanding leadership, e.g. by actively giving and receiving feedback, active personnel development and talent management.
- Promoting collaboration, accountability and innovation in cross-functional teams and international locations.
- Corporate Responsibility:
- Act as a strong ambassador of Voith's values and Code of Conduct, representing the company with integrity both internally and externally.
Your profile
- Proven track record in turning around or significantly improving business unit performance, ideally in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong leadership experience in an international, multi-site setting.
- Deep understanding of hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and intercultural skills.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
- Travel Requirement approx. 30–40% also international.
