Summary:
In this position, the Order/Project Manager, is responsible for all aspects of project management for replacement roll orders including, but not limited to, contract review, working with service centers on order input and POs, communicating with vendors for delivery tracking, information gathering, and arranging logistics.


Responsibilities:
•    Manage replacement roll orders from inception to completion.
•    Work closely with the Voith Service Center sites to facility order input and vendor order placement.
•    Provide Contract review and risk assessment networking with Voith legal team as required.
•    Prepare project quotation and documentation as necessary. 
•    Work closely with vendors to determine delivery schedules and obtaining required information.
•    Communicate a monthly report on estimated deliveries and order intake.
•    Continuously evaluate order timeline to improve delivery or communicate delays.
•    Communicates project details and timelines with production teams and other necessary stakeholders.
•    Travel to manufacturing sites, customers, sales/service teams and global & regional team meetings required 25%+ of the time.

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, JDE and scheduling software.
•    Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or Operational Excellence training preferred.

 

Education and Experience:

•    Knowledge of paper machine rolls is desired but not required.
•    3-5 years of project management work experience required.  
•    A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or 2 years higher education is a plus
•    Should have general understanding of Paper Mill etiquette and safety

 

Physical Requirements:

Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand.  He or she is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
