Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated leader who directs, develops, and leads sales strategy and processes to drive revenue growth in line with Voith’s financial and overall objectives in North America. The Sales Director – Fabric and Roll Systems is responsible for leading and executing the commercial strategy for Voith Paper Fabric and Roll Systems within the assigned region or market segment. This person in this role is expected to build effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring and development with the goal of understanding market needs to provide a differentiated experience to our valued customers.
The position requires a strategic thinking, self-starting individual who can interact with varying personal backgrounds, abilities, and educational levels in both a business and social environment within our target market. The person must be willing to travel and drive profitable growth by driving new, as well as maintain existing internal and external business relationships to strengthen Voith’s position as a trusted partner through customer-focused, value-added solutions while reinforcing the One Voith approach. Must be able to communicate clearly and be an exceptional listener.
Responsibilities:
- Lead safety and well-being of the sales region including proactively leading to continuously enhance the safety culture within Voith
- Develop and execute regional or market-specific sales strategies aligned with Voith Paper and FRS objectives
- Responsible for maintaining, developing, and expanding our talent in the sales organization
- Accountable for delivering a differentiated and quality sales experience for our customers
- Drive commercial excellence including pricing, forecasting, and margin improvement.
- Create, maintain, and leverage key customer relationships to continually assess Voith’s impact on our customers business through our range of offerings, while always seeking approaches and tools to improve
- Collaborate across Voith Paper to support One Voith strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required, advanced degree preferred
- 5-10 years of industrial sales leadership and people management experience, preferably in paper, pulp or process industries.
- Ability to lead across multiple departments within the organization
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Deep understanding of value-based selling and customer relationship management
- High integrity, professionalism, and alignment with Voith values
Physical Requirements
Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand and use their hands. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
