The role requires senior sales skills combined with basic technical knowledge and as well as working experience in the CV sector with focus bus.


The Sales Manager is the key point of contact for the clients and provides both pre- and after-sales advice. He/she liaises regularly with other members of the sales team, within the country and worldwide, and colleagues from a range of departments in the mother company, such as research, development, design, production and quality, as well as senior company managers. The Sales Manager manages the client relationship on all levels.. Ideal age range from 30 to 40. Availability to settle in Reggio Emilia is a plus.

 

Typical work activities

  • Develop and reinforce partnership with key OEM and Operators in assigned territory which is Italy
  • Client relationship management,  taking care of the long-term relationship with the client through managing and interpreting his requirements
  • Identifying and establishing after-sales business opportunities, searching for new applications, which might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential
  • Ensuring that sales targets set by the head of the Division are met
  • Organizing sales visits, frequent business travels (60%)
  • Monitoring the market share of Voith and of the competition
  • Identifies new market opportunities and projects both in new business and in aftermarket and reporting and follow them up with the company CRM 
  • Putting the client in a position to appreciate that the product or service offered best satisfies their needs in terms being competitive on the market
  • Negotiating offers and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Closely working with the sales support which calculates client quotations and performs sales administration
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services
  • Preparing reports for head office using the company CRM 
  • Making product presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs

 
Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated, sociable with customers and colleagues, full of initiative and good team worker. He/she must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, and when submitting reports. The candidate has to be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approach. He/she must already have a wide relationship network in the bus sector available and must be able to expand it further over the time. He/she must be prepared for frequent presence at the Customers’ sites. Knowledge of both Italian and English language is a must, as well as basics of mechanical Engineering and electric Engineering.

  • 4+ years relevant experience in bus business
  • Experience in sales
