Summary

In this position, the quality assurance technician will support the quality management system and manufacturing operations to ensure products consistently meet defined specifications. Will be responsible for the set-up, operation and documentation of various testing procedures. Will develop a comprehensive understanding of the extrusion process and technical items related to the production of quality monofilament. Will work closely with production, engineering, maintenance to maintain product quality and operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities

      • Set-up and operate all quality assurance test equipment following standard procedures
      • Knowledge of testing requirements for various product groups based on product specifications
      • Trend analysis and the application of SPC principles
      • Monitor and maintain various performance metrics
      • Support root cause analysis and facilitate corrective action plans
      • Maintain acceptable housekeeping and cleanliness habits within the quality lab
      • Work in a safe manner and follow safety requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and experience/ability to meet job requirements
  • Excellent math skills
  • English language required
  • Experience in manufacturing test lab environments preferred

Physical Demands

Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel.  They are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Employees regularly talk and hear and must be able to lift 10 pounds.  Rarely employees are required to lift up to 50 pounds.  Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
