Support the Voith Group | Corporate Development & Sustainability as

Partner (m|f|d) Consulting & Execution - Corporate Strategy (m|w|d)
Job ID 78678 | Location Heidenheim | flexible hybrid working model

Your opportunity
This is an opportunity to move beyond advising and transformation and take ownership of making it happen. With direct exposure to Voith's Management Board and businesses, you will build a new Group Consulting & Execution capability from the ground up and shape how some of the Group's most important strategic and operational priorities are delivered. You will have the entrepreneurial freedom to build the team, define its ways of working and establish a high-impact internal consulting model within a global industrial technology group. Acting as a trusted thought partner to the Management Board and business leaders, you will combine the intellectual challenge and variety of strategy consulting with the opportunity to shape critical decisions, own implementation and deliver measurable impact over the long term. The position is explicitly designed as a platform for broader responsibility within Voith and can provide a pathway into senior operational leadership across the Group.

Your role

  • Build and lead Voith's new Group Consulting & Execution capability, establishing a high performing internal consulting team that delivers measurable business impact across the Group.
  • Lead strategic performance, growth and transformation projects from the initial question through implementation, taking ownership not only of recommendations but also of tangible business outcomes.
  • Advise and constructively challenge the Management Board and senior business leaders on complex strategic and operational challenges, providing objective recommendations, challenging assumptions and established perspectives where required, and translating strategic priorities into executable programs.
  • Lead the program management office for selected Group wide transformation and performance programs, ensuring transparency, accountability and consistent delivery against defined objectives.
  • Shape the operating model, project portfolio and delivery standards of the Consulting & Execution team and establish it as a trusted advisor and execution partner across Voith Hydro, Voith Paper, Voith Turbo and Corporate.
  • Build, lead and develop a high performing team of Managers and Analysts, creating an environment of analytical excellence, entrepreneurial ownership and strong execution.
  • Develop team members for broader leadership responsibility and actively support their transition into operational and leadership roles across the Voith Group.
  • Continuously strengthen Voith's internal strategy and execution capabilities and reduce dependence on external consulting support by building sustainable expertise within the Group.

Your profile

  • A very strong academic background, ideally with a Master's degree, MBA or PhD in business, economics, engineering, natural sciences or another analytical discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in a leading strategy or top-tier consulting firm, with significant experience as a Principal, Associate Partner or at a comparable level.
  • A strong track record across strategy and growth topics combined with hands-on experience in performance improvement, transformation, operational excellence or restructuring.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects from strategy development through implementation, with sound judgement, intellectual independence and clear ownership of measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, business judgement and the ability to quickly understand industrial businesses, value drivers and operational challenges.
  • Proven leadership experience and a genuine passion for building high performing teams, developing talent and enabling others to grow into broader responsibility.
  • The confidence and credibility to challenge, advise and collaborate with Management Board members and senior executives in a constructive and pragmatic way.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to build a new capability from the ground up rather than simply manage an established function.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

We offer you an international working environment with an open and inclusive company culture. In addition, you can expect flexible working models, sustainable development opportunities and various offers for the compatibility of family and career as well as health and well-being.
