Offer Project Manager Automation & Digital - Hydropower Service (m/f/d)

In this key position you will lead the end-to-end offer process for our Automation & Digital portfolio with a strong focus on the service of existing hydropower plants. You will work hand in hand with Sales, Key Account and Service Managers to shape winning proposals, support customer visits, and ensure seamless internal coordination across all relevant functions. Your goal is to deliver high-quality, competitive and compliant offers that enable profitable growth.


Your tasks

  • Take ownership of the bid/proposal process from opportunity qualification to submission and contract handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
  • Coordinate all internal stakeholders (Sales, Proposal Engineering, Field Service, Procurement, Project Management, Commercial Management, HSE, Cybersecurity) to build the technical and commercial offer.
  • Prepare and lead prequalification dossiers as well as responses to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, including solution concepts, scope definition, cost calculation and pricing in alignment with Sales.
  • Define the offer strategy together with Sales: value proposition, winning strategies, compliance matrix, risk assessment and mitigation actions.
  • Support Service Managers and Key Account Managers during customer discussions and negotiations – back-office and customer visits.
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of offer processes, standards and documents, such as sales and offer presentations, within Automation.


Your profile

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Information Technology or a comparable field.
  • Experience in bid/proposal or tender management for technical solutions and services, ideally in industrial automation.
  • Solid understanding of industrial automation and digitalization offerings; ability to translate technical solutions into compelling value propositions.
  • Proficient with established sales/bid methods and tools; confident user of MS Office and experience with CRM tools such as SalesForce.
  • Business-fluent English; additional languages such as German or French are an advantage
  • You are a structured, reliable and proactive personality with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (20%) and proven intercultural competence.

 

This position can be filled at any of our European Voith Hydro locations. The remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based - this is not a fully remote position.
