Responsibilities:
- Perform all job requirements according to procedures as outlined in the VOITH Quality Manual, Company Procedures, and Work Instructions
- Reports problems to higher levels of authority as required by the Quality System.
- Confer with Engineers, production personnel, or others as needed to satisfactorily resolve quality problems
- Inspects and measure’s part to determine conformance to specifications through use of precision measuring equipment
- Performs all inspection functions as required by Work Instructions
- Notify supervisor of Non-Conformances
- Support Internal Audit Teams
- All other duties that may be assigned
Specialized Knowledge:
Operate all machines to perform machining operations on standardized and fairly close tolerance parts and details. Perform machine setups and follow instructions given on operating procedures. May maintain setup under close supervision. Tolerance not difficult to maintain due to nature of tooling arrangements and machines. May use fixed limit gauges to check parts. Work is subject to process inspection.
- Possess good mechanical aptitude
- Minimum two (2) years of previous machining experience
- Must know how to read blueprints
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Vocational School graduate in machine shop practices, or equivalent
