For the Inside Sales & Operations team of Voith Turbo Canada, we are looking for talents for the position of:
Customer Service Representative
Mississauga, ON
The Customer Service Representative (Technical Inside Sales) reports the Manager of Operations and will support sales, service and operations teams with quoting, order entry, project management and purchasing in a demanding customer service oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Support customers via phone or email with technical questions, troubleshooting, RFQs and all other inquiries
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams (locally / internationally)
- Provide spare parts, units and service quotations to customers
Project Management:
- Accurate and detailed order entry in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) of spare parts, units and service orders
- Manage all open orders in order to meet the customer’s delivery, quality and technical expectations
- Create and expedite purchase orders for inventory and order fulfilment demands
- Occasional shop and warehouse support will be required
Technical:
- Review tolerances and specifications
- Adjust existing CAD drawings based on customer application and maintain the Voith drawing directory
- Coordinate assembly of connection parts to new units
- Coordinate new unit drive shaft assemblies internally and at Voith production partner
- Manage quality control of units & customized parts: incoming and outgoing
Operations:
- Support 6S audit and facility maintenance initiatives
- Support with HSE projects and continuous maintenance of documentation and systems
- Support with ERP system maintenance (i.e. price uploads, BOM list creation, etc.)
- Support inventory level analysis and adjustments to ensure accuracy and maintain stock levels
- Support continuous improvement efforts of standard operating procedures in order to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Other duties as assigned.
All tasks above must be performed with strict adherence to Voith SOPs, directives, guidelines and authority matrix
Major Professional Interactions

Education
Post-secondary education in mechanical field or relevant experience
Knowledge and abilities
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
- Bilingual French/English, an asset
- Knowledge & experience in tolerances and fits, preferred
- Experience in creating CAD drawings, preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and components
- Proficient on Microsoft office suite
- Ability lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Working Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar industry (mechanical rotating equipment)
