Head of Sales, Industry Canada  
Calgary or Mississauga Office, On-site

 

Summary:

Develop and execute the Canadian regional sales strategy in alignment with senior management goals & targets by leading regional sales managers and while being responsible for a designated territory.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Sales Leadership:

  • Forecast Sales and Order intake for the Canadian Market Division Industry

  • Support Regional Sales Managers

  • Define Customer Targets and allocation of sales effort

  • Develop Sales and Growth Strategies

  • Create Budgets for Travel, Promotion

  • Implement and Maintain Policies

  • Provide sales coverage for a region or market

  • Provide guidance on general Voith Turbo Canada topics as member of the management team

 

Sales Role:

  • Sale of Voith Turbo products and services for Voith Industry Division while achieving the objectives outlined by group management

  • Developing new customers including repair and service of competitor products

  • Identification of Voith installed base

  • Creating Customer Profiles

  • Customer Maintenance and Outage Planning

  • Customer Relationship Management

  • Upkeep of SalesForce database

  • Promote sales of spare parts, services and complete units including retrofit opportunities.

  • Work with Focus Sales on New Business Opportunities  

  • Provide field support for service department in areas of customer quoting and follow-up

    • Work could include working on/around gas turbine installations, pump installations, compressor drives, conveyor drives and mining facilities requiring a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity.

  • Work with Inside Sales, Field Service, Retrofit and Engineering departments to establish schedules and priorities for field, in house repairs, part and unit sales, retrofit projects and engineering.

  • Develop and update Installed equipment database, Visit Logs and Contacts.

  • Provide sales support for direct sales to end users, OEM’s and Distributor organization.

  • Work with Consulting Engineers to specify Voith Products into Projects

  • Participate at trade show exhibits.

  • Assist in overdue invoice collection as requested by management.

  • Proven professional sales experience

Other Requirements:

  • Travel approximately 30% to 40% of time (International / Domestic) for Customer visits, training, and internal meetings

 

Education and Experience:

  • 10 years related experience with Rotating Machinery products & services.

  • Hands on experience in mechanical power transmission equipment, service and retrofits sales

  • Technical Degree from a college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience leading an industrial product sales team
