Service Sales Manager 
Eastern Mexico

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales of Voith Turbo Products into the Mining, Steel, and Cement industry markets. Responsible for customer development and growth of sales of our high-performance Hydrodynamic Couplings, Coupling Technologies, and Turbo Gears,
  • Focus on End User, OEM’s, Equipment Packagers and EPCs for specification and purchase of Voith Turbo products.
  • Upkeep of Voith’s CRM tools with current customer and project information
  • Monthly forecasting and sales planning of order intake by respective product line
  • Customer entertainment with lunches, dinners, and other business activities
  • Travel to/from various customer and Voith sites via both air travel and motor vehicle
  • Aid in implementation of Company’s business plan
  • Participate at trade show exhibits and conferences when required
  • Research and follow-up potential domestic and international projects
  • Provide market information, sales forecast, market studies
  • Sales, marketing, and promotion of Voith Turbo products
  • Prepare and participate in Voith Products presentations to new and existing customers
  • Review technical and commercial project specifications to determine equipment selection and prepare price calculations
  • Provide quotations and technical assistance to new and existing customers
  • Participate in technical and commercial negotiation of orders
  • Interface with Application/Project Engineer to ensure efficient project management
  • Complete special tasks as specified by management

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Proven professional sales experience of rotating machinery into Mining, Steel, and Cement industrial markets
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in rotating machinery sales
  • Bachelor’s degree from 4 year college or university an asset, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical experience with rotating equipment and good understanding of equipment selection and operating requirements are necessary
  • Ability to identify potential projects at an early stage in the development of the project and ensure that Voith products are included in the specifications
  • Fluent in Spanish and working proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Read and interpret customer specifications, scientific/trade journals, and terms & conditions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain successful customer relations
  • Able to work independently
  • Up to 60% travel – domestic across Central-East Mexico
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office
  • Physical requirements: must be able to tour customer facilities, including examine machinery which involves climbing stairs and ladders, and crawling.
