Summary:

Onsite coordination and facilitation of Voith Paper aftermarket service activities for assigned millsite in Mexico. Act as the primary contact for all customer service requests and ensure timely processing and communication with internal departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Service
    • Manage customer specific service contracts for your assigned mills.
    • Provide shutdown planning for scheduled service jobs.
    • Work in a team with the Field Service Coordinator and service group leaders to manage group schedules and service jobs. Estimate additional service costs and determine quote price levels.
    • Prepare service contracts in close coordination with service group managers and customers.
    • Risk analysis for large scale service proposals with Voith internal resources.
    • Review of field service reports and distribution to customers and Voith internal contacts.
  • Inventory Management
    • Performing onsite inventory counts as needed.
    • Work with customers to build a mill spare parts strategy to optimize parts inventory and ensure part availability to prevent machine downtime.
    • All gaps between customer expectations and actual performance are documented, analyzed and solutions are developed, where appropriate, to close gaps.
  • Documentation Support
    • A system is in place to ensure the documentation and drawings deemed necessary for part identification and maintenance activities are accessible and current.
    • Utilize and promote the use of Voith ordering systems and platforms to enhance customer's visibility to critical information.   
  • Organizational topics
    • Track the status of outstanding RFQs, customer orders, repairs, and warranty topics, communicate any delays with customer.
    • Attend customer’s shutdown planning meetings, review maintenance job plans, and confirm proper parts and support are in place for outage.
    • Support customer and Voith logistical requirements to include shipment type, urgency accurate and on-time deliveries, and customer warehousing / receiving needs.
    • Track consignment topics, inventory levels, cycle count, invoicing issues.
    • Responsible for communicating monthly customers and internal reporting that includes parts usage, accounts receivables, inventory status, repair status, and service plans. 

 

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of paper mill service or maintenance planning experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Paper Technology desired
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Spanish and English speaking required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in Windows based programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • SAP CS experience desired
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, and written.
  • Strong Customer relation skills.
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing facility (machining, welding and assembly, etc.).
