Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for safety and compliance within the assigned work locations, shipping and receiving, inventory control and preparation and kitting of tools and components.

The position will be located at Ludington Pumped Storage Plant, 15 minutes south of Ludington, MI.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety requirements for various storage locations, both on site and off site, and ensuring they are followed; 
• Receiving, preparing, and shipping orders and job site materials according to Voith protocol; 
• Plan, supervise and document the inspection, calibration, maintenance and repair of tools;
• Proactively manage inventory of safety equipment, consumables, and equipment for the job site; 
• Coordination of 3rd party services related to tools, equipment and PPE as required;
• Supporting field team with purchasing materials;
• Managing warehouse staff, as needed; 
• Contributing to continuous improvement and optimizing tool management.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Supply Chain Management or technical field such as Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of general industry safety rules;
• Knowledge of tools and their uses and basic mechanics;
• Experience working in a union environment;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Internet.

• The employee is required to talk and/or hear in office, warehouse and powerhouse settings (noise level is variable). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in a construction environment from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
