As a Service Technician, you are a Factory Representative of the Voith Turbo organization, servicing our mobility product line of buses and mass transit systems. With our expansion into a new territory (greater Los Angeles), this is a great opportunity to get started with a growing company and use both your technical and customer relations skills to further your career. Company provides extensive training in our products and new technologies.


  • Provide hands-on service and technical support for customers primarily in the Los Angeles area (90012), with some travel throughout the Southwestern US, as required. Daily local travel is required to customer sites. Company service vehicle provided.
  • Repair, rebuild, and provide technical/diagnostic support for primarily bus transmissions and other power transmission equipment.
  • Interact daily face-to-face and via phone with customers (Fleet, Dealers, and OEM customers).
  • Complete service, expense and labor allocation reports.



  • Associates Degree (A.A.) preferred or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school
  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in Automotive/Diesel Mechanics, Transmission rebuilding or Mechanical Engineering, preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills for daily interactions with customers
  • Knowledge of general repair and maintenance practices for power transmission equipment with sufficient product knowledge to resolve customer issues
  • Strong Electrical skills and ability to operate a variety of electronic diagnostic devices (multimeters/ voltmeters and computers)
  • Read and understand drawings/schematics
  • Welding/Torch abilities
  • Good organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows system
