Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and daily legal support. Recommend strategies to the Voith Group companies in China and other APAC countries;
2. Review, draft and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements;
3. Foresee and protect the Voith Group companies in APAC against legal risks;
4. Ensure compliance with appropriate corporate governance practices;
5. Coordinate litigation and arbitration matters, and supervise and manage outside counsel;
6. Provide advices in addressing employment-related issues;
7. Corporate Governance Issues, management of legal entity registration and deregistration in China;
8. Provide Compliance trainings, participating in compliance case investigations and disciplinary actions;
9. Lead or participate in global initiatives or projects.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above from a top tier law school.
2. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
3. At least 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm, with a focus on corporate law.
4. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and creatively.
5. Willingness to travel within China, including to Voith’s Operation Units in Shanghai and other cities.
6. Experience in corporate governance, compliance programs or internal investigations is preferred.
