Purpose of job: Position holder will play a crucial role in driving sales and managing operations in South-East Asia. Your responsibilities will include direct customer engagement and overseeing both administrative and strategic functions. You will report directly to the President Product & Service, Asia and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives.

 

Primary function of job:

Primary tasks:

  • Develop, agree and maintain business plan to increase market share for P&S in SEA and ANZ
  • Ensure development of markets and orders in South-East-Asia according to business plans agreed
  • Full responsibility for sales and profit
  • Develop organization and competencies to support market development, full personnel responsibility
  • Improve customer relationships, direct sales involvement in big and new type of orders
  • Monitor development of financial KPIs according to MIS
  • Functional control of Fi/Co and HR to make sure supporting functions develop in line with business strategy
  • Develop product portfolio sold and supported out of VPJA & VPTH
  • Management reporting, making transparent of current market & organizational situation
  • Constant improvement of organizational efficiency

Sales tasks:

  • Dedicate approximately 30% of your time to direct sales activities
  • Build and sustain strong personal relationships with customers

Operational tasks:

  • Manage all operational functions in South East Asia
  • Develop and submit an annual budget, including forecasts for revenue, profitability, growth, capital expenditure, and resource requirements
  • Prepare monthly profit and loss statements in line with the company's internal accounting procedures

Strategic tasks: 

  • Engage regularly with internal stakeholders to discuss strategy and performance
  • Participate actively in bi-annual training and strategy workshops
  • Provide decisive leadership and direction, fostering a strong and effective management team
  • Approach and support of capital projects for Business Line Projects
  • Alignment with FRS within Voith Paper City in Karawang

Business Development tasks: 

  • Propel company growth with a structured and strategic sales approach
  • Effectively position the company with key customers by analyzing market needs and opportunities
  • Represent the company in a professional manner, ensuring alignment with core values and adherence to legal and ethical standards

 

Job requirement:

  • Master degree or bachelor of paper technology, business development
  • At least 10 years in senior leadership roles within multinational companies
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex industrial goods, particularly in the paper machine products, spareparts
  • Experience in project management and service business for paper industry is advantage
  • Strong leadership, strategic insight, and a customer-centric approach
  • Proven ability in performance management, technical and commercial decision-making, and customer solution discussions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building
  • Exemplary integrity with a strong focus on driving revenue growth and expanding business operations
