The incumbent in this position leads the Americas Sales Team and pro-actively develops/directs project related sales activities of Voith Turbo Industry, Division Power, Oil & Gas across the project life cycle and along the customer chain. The position focuses on typical greenfield/expansion project environments. The position splits into executing project developments by the incumbent as well as developing the same together with the team in regional but also global connected project business. It is a technical dominated sales role ensuring Voith’s preferred positioning into projects and project specifications for generating future orders.




  • Team lead
  • Steer and execute pro-active sales in Power, Oil & Gas Industries within assigned region with existing and new accounts
  • Support and execute strategic initiatives in new markets, applications and technologies such as Energy Transformation schemes (e.g., Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, Hydrogen, Nuclear Power, and others)
  • Define/align regional sales strategy contributing Sales Targets in global project business and in alignment with Global Sales Management
  • Conduct & support Business Planning, typically a two-year final plan and pre-plan by providing market and customer intelligence and knowledge
  • Manage all opportunities using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM): , filling projects pipeline, identifying leads and developing opportunities.
  • Ensure Voith Industry products to be on Approved Vendor List (AVL) and get Voith technology specified.
  • Act as global sales coordinator within assigned area of responsibility, develop and align bidding strategy and ensure execution accordingly.
  • Run Price Indications to projects and customers as needed.
  • Start and maintain commercial relationships with end-user clients, EPCs, Consultants, Licensors, local or regional OEMs and partners to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Ensure highest data quality for Sales & Operations Planning
  • Teamwork in transparent and clear communications fashion in a matrix organization with  colleagues and peer groups.
  • Collect and provide project intelligence and customer requirements to ensure fulfillment of customer expectations in projects (e.g., lead time, etc.)
  • Understand and interpret customers future business vision to derive actions for Voith (e.g., drive new product developments, etc.)
  • frequent business trips (domestic and overseas) within own responsibilities representing Voith in an organized way.
  • Attend workshops, customer events, exhibitions, conferences, run papers, marketing campaigns, etc. and execute presentations about Voith specific contents in front of customers, partners and other stakeholders.



  • Bachelor’s Degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales and/or service related experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Knowledge about rotating equipment is an asset.
  • Capable to lead and manage a team and conduct contractual negotiation activities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Affinity with software such as MS-Office, SAP, Navision and Salesforce.
