Senior Sales Manager, Power, Oil and Gas

Summary
The incumbent in this position develops and directs the business sales activities of the Voith Turbo Industry Division in power, oil and gas industries with End-User clients, EPCs, Consultants, Licensors and local or regional OEMs. This is a technical sales position that ensures the Voith Industry products are on Approved Vendor List (AVL) and gets Voith technology specified to generate future orders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all opportunities using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Force system, filling out projects pipeline, identifying leads and development opportunities.
- Ensure Voith Industry products to be on Approved Vendor List (AVL) and get Voith technology specified.
- Act as global sales coordinator within assigned area of responsibility, develop and align bidding strategy and ensure execution accordingly.
- Run Price Indications to projects and customers as needed.
- Start and maintain commercial relationships with end-user clients, EPCs, Consultants, Licensors, local or regional OEMs and partners to generate leads and opportunities.
- Support Business Planning, typically a two-year final plan and pre-plan by providing market and customer intelligence and knowledge.
- Ensure highest data quality for Sales and Operations Planning (twelve-month Order Received forecast).
- Teamwork in transparent and clear communications fashion in a matrix organization basis colleagues and peer groups (regions and global account sales).
- Collect and provide project intelligence and customer requirements to ensure fulfillment of customer expectations in projects (e.g. lead time, etc.)
- Understand and interpret customers future business vision to derive actions for Voith (e.g. drive new product developments, etc.)
- frequent business trips (domestic and overseas) within own responsibilities representing Voith in an organized way.
- Attend workshops, customer events, exhibitions, conferences, papers, marketing campaigns, etc. and execute presentations about Voith specific contents in front of customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of sales and service-related experience
- Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Knowledge about rotating equipment is an asset.
- Capable to lead project management and contractual negotiation activities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Affinity with softwares such as MS-Office, SAP, Navision and Salesforce.
